Carter Memorial United Methodist Church in Needham MA, needed modern, open space developed near the Sanctuary for ease of fellowship after church.  MHA developed plans to open up the existing Parlor, reduce the size of the existing Chapel, and generally renovate the Narthex to transform it from dreary and tired to a modern space filled with light with easy access to every space around it. 

The renovation also included new office space, renovations and additions to rest rooms, complete replacement of the HVAC system, energy efficiency upgrades to the attic and any space being renovated, and replacement of the oldest wood windows including large round-top Sanctuary windows.
